Dillsboro Festival to Kick Off This Week

Dearborn County will kick off the start of the summer festival season this week with the Dillsboro Homecoming Festival, an annual event scheduled to take place May 16-19.  The first Southeast Indiana festival of 2012, the Dillsboro Homecoming Festival offers food, fun and family entertainment on the streets of downtown Dillsboro, a small town located approximately 30 miles outside of Cincinnati. Getting ready for the frog-jumping contest Sponsored by the Dillsboro Civic Club, the festival has been named a “Grand Champion Event” four times by the Indiana Association of County and District Fairs.  In addition to traditional carnival rides, games and food booths, the event features a variety of fun activities, including a 5K Run & Walk (Saturday at 8am), classic car show (Saturday at noon), and musical entertai…
