Fri 5/26 - Dearborn Highlands Arts Council Gallery Exhibit
9am-4pm. Dearborn Highlands Arts Council, 331 Walnut Street, Lawrenceburg. The Arts Council will host a month-long exhibition of Brad Ellis in May. Mr. Ellis is a retired art teacher from Lawrenceburg and is working full time as an artist. He has both a pottery studio and a painting studio. Dearborn Highlands Arts Council, is a non-profit organization, with support from state and national arts organizations. Live Art! events are supported by a grant from Arts Wave. Fri 5/26-Sun 5/28 - Hillforest Victorian House Museum
213 Fifth Street, Aurora. 1:00PM-5:00PM. Admission charged. Hillforest was the home of industrialist and financier Thomas Gaff and his family between 1855 and 1891. The home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1992. Featured exhibit for 2017 is Bags, Bonnets & Baubles, showcasing Hillforest's collection of ladies hats and handbags rarely on exhibit. For more information: 812 926-0087 or http://hillforest.org
Fri 5/26-Sun 5/28 - River Cities Bike Share
River Cities Bike Share is the the first bike share program of its kind in Southeast Indiana and features approximately 30 “ready-to-ride” bicycles located throughout the cities of Lawrenceburg and Aurora. Equipped with a locking mechanism, the bikes will be housed at several docking sites in both communities, and can be reserved and rented via an app or onsite. Each of the Shimano seven-speed bicycles will be available on a ride-and-return basis. The cost to ride is $3 for the first hour and $2 for each additional hour.
